BEAR Launch Night, Derby - November 2017.

If you've been into Derby recently, you might have noticed a new addition being created over on Iron Gate - BEAR. I've been following the BEAR team on Twitter for a while after hearing that they were going to be opening a shop in Derby alongside their original in Uttoxeter.
I was kindly invited along to their launch night to get a sneak peek at what they are all about.

Doors open early. By day, BEAR operates as a coffee shop where you can grab some brunch before offering their #DitchTheLunchbox lunch menu aimed at those working in the city centre. When the clock strikes 5pm, the evening menu is in force and diners can enjoy the likes of Small Plates, Flatbreads and Burgers.

The guys here at BEAR understand the importance of a good cup of coffee, using beans from Honduras. Their menu proudly showcases the timeline of production explaining the importance of the time at which the beans are harvested in order to ensure that the quality is at it's best.

I bought along my friend Emily for the ride, we grabbed a couple of cocktails (mocktail and hot chocolate for me) and took a seat over by the bar. With live music on in the background the evening had a great vibe and seeing everybody enjoying themselves was lovely. Throughout the night, we were given the chance to try a few samples of the type of food BEAR will be serving up. The Miniature Pizzas and Fries went down a treat.
After having a flick through their menu, I will definitely be back to give them a try. The evening menu really stood out to me and appears to be really good value for money. Their Brunch menu also has me eying them up as the next #DerbyBloggersBrunch venue too so watch this space as another meet up may be on the cards soon!

I'm looking forward to seeing how BEAR get on in their new home and wish the team all the best of luck!
